Maurice Bostick is a seasoned executive with significant consulting experience in the corporate and non-profit sector. He has a proven track record of assessing business operations to identify opportunities for improvement. In his current role, he serves as Senior Operations Strategist for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America (BGCA). In this position, Mr. Bostick is responsible for educating BGCA organizations on how to effectively use data to measure the impact clubs are having on the young people they serve. Prior to joining BGCA, Mr. Bostick worked for Accenture Consulting, where he worked in the Financial Services industry. He was involved in the planning and execution phases for multiple mergers amongst Fortune 100 companies. Mr. Bostick received his B.A. in Finance and graduated with honors from Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA and intends to serve on the Academic Committee of the Ethos Classical Governing Board.
Tiffany Fick is a Professional Development Specialist for EL Education, a leading K-12 non-profit that provides school models, professional services, and a comprehensive curriculum for schools across the country. Working with the Teacher Potential Project in Atlanta Public Schools, Ms. Fick ensures successful, high-quality implementation of EL Education’s Curriculum including direct coaching of school and district leadership toward implementation goals. After completion of her undergraduate work, Ms. Fick joined Teach For America and moved to Atlanta where she taught in Atlanta Public Schools for four years. In the two years following, Ms. Fick taught 5th grade ELA and led literacy initiatives and professional learning at KIPP South Fulton Academy as the English Language Arts department chair. At KIPP, Ms. Fick was able to achieve significant gains in reading, ranking 8th in the national KIPP network for student growth on the NWEA MAP reading assessment. As a Westside community member, Ms. Fick is dedicated to the betterment of her community by volunteering with local organizations and supporting initiatives to increase the quality of education for students and families in her neighborhood. Ms. Fick earned a B.S. in Secondary English Education from Indiana University, and a M. Ed. from Johns Hopkins University.
Kevin Graney, a Senior Manager in Finance for The Home Depot, works to ensure the financial health of the nearly 2,000 Home Depot stores in the United States. Mr. Graney currently focuses on the At Home Services business working on merchandising, field execution, and strategy. Prior to working at Home Depot, Mr. Graney worked as a strategy and management consultant for ScottMadden, an energy focused consulting firm. Earlier in his career, Mr. Graney worked in politics and policy in Washington, DC including several years at the U.S. Department of Energy. Mr. Graney is a proud resident of Atlanta where he is raising his family. Mr. Graney received his B.A. in Government and Russian Studies from the University of Virginia and his M.B.A. from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and intends to serve on the Finance Committee of the Ethos Classical Governing Board.
During his 30 year career within the Bell System, Mr. Hines served in a number of financial capacities including accounting, auditing, and planning. Prior to his 2013 retirement, he supported AT&T’s National Network Wireline and Wireless Operations Group ensuring that business unit financial and operating plans were properly aligned to achieve corporate targets. During his career, Mr. Hines won numerous company awards for his intra-company business unit service efforts and innovative cost-reduction initiatives including having been honored with the Long Distance Industry Services President’s award. Prior to his returning to Atlanta, he chaired the Stewardship & Finance Commission at an 850 member church providing leadership through its second and third building phases and he also served on the board of a local community youth development organization. Mr. Hines brings strong financial acumen and analytic skills and a dedication to community service to the founding team of Ethos Classical. Mr. Hines has a B.A. in Accounting from Morehouse College, an M.B.A from Northwestern University, and C.P.A license and intends to serve on the as Board Treasured and Chair of the Finance Committee of the Ethos Classical Governing Board
Paula M. Moody joined Families First in the fall of 2013 as the Director of Child and Youth Permanency. Prior to her accepting her position with Families First, Ms. Moody was the Executive Director of a small, nonprofit children and families agency in New Haven, CT for eight years. Having devoted most of her professional career working with children, youth and families, Paula has an array of nonprofit program and management experience including residential, juvenile justice, foster care, independent living, accreditation, nonprofit fiscal management and grant writing. Ms. Moody is a proud graduate of North Carolina A&T State University where she earned a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Political Science. She is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University, where she obtained a Master’s Degree in Urban Studies as well as a Master’s Degree in Social Work.
As Senior Managing Director of Risk and Compliance at Teach For America, Ms. Moore is responsible for, and passionate about, initiatives to create and improve organizational structures which enable compliance, including her current work to design and implement centralized policy management. This is her most recent role during her 10 year tenure with Teach For America, having also served four years as the Chief of Staff to the CFO which included projects such as the oversight of the federal Department of Education grant audits and management responses; four years overseeing procurement, contracts, and finance for the Teacher Preparation teams; and two years designing and running operations for the Atlanta teacher training institute. Prior to her work with Teach For America, Ms. Moore had seven years of technology experience as both a systems and network engineer with Qwest Communications. In all of her roles, Ms. Moore is an avid manager, and has overseen the entire personnel life cycle of role and team design, hiring, management, evaluation, development and dismissal. An active member of the Atlanta community, she has served for almost eight years on the Steering Committee for historic Whittier Mill Village on Atlanta’s Westside, most of those years as Treasurer. Ms. Moore earned a B.S. from Boston University and an M.B.A. from Cornell University, and is the proposed Chair of the Ethos Classical governing board.
Jennifer Virostko is a business litigator at King & Spalding, LLC. She has represented businesses and individuals in a range of complex civil litigation, including federal securities actions, election law actions, contract disputes, class actions and constitutional rights action. Before joining King & Spalding, Ms. Virostko practiced with Rogers & Hardin LLP in Atlanta. Immediately after law school, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Orinda D. Evans of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. She was a member of the Teach For America corps, serving three years as a middle school educator in St. Louis, Missouri and has since served as an advocate for children’s legal rights with various child welfare organizations. Ms. Virostko attended the University of Georgia and graduated with honors, with degrees in Psychology and Women’s Studies, graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law and is a member of the Order of the Coif. Ms. Virostko intends to serve as Board Secretary on the Governance Committee of the Ethos Classical Governing Board.
Chelsea Ulrich-Tarnoff currently works for Teach For America as the Managing Director, Alumni Leadership and Engagement, designing strategy to cultivate the alumni community and leading alumni communications for Teach For America in Metro Atlanta. Before joining Teach For America, Ms. Ulrich-Tarnoff worked for Teach Plus, a national nonprofit focused on elevating teacher voice and leadership, as the National Research and Evaluation Manager and the T3 Recruitment & Research Coordinator. Prior to her start with Teach Plus, Ms. Ulrich-Tarnoff worked as a Research Assistant with the State Charter Schools Commission of Georgia. During that time, she assisted in the review of charter school petitions, as well as in the tracking of various education-related bills during the 2014 Georgia General Assembly. Ms. Ulrich-Tarnoff also taught third grade at Parkside Elementary School as a Teach For America Metro Atlanta Corps Member, and assisted in the founding of Latin Academy Charter School in Atlanta, Georgia as a Sixth Grade Reading/ELA teacher. Ms. Ulrich-Tarnoff holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin, a Master’s of Education degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia State University, and is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Philosophy degree in Educational Administration and Policy from the University of Georgia, studying parent choice related to marketing and branding utilized by charter schools.
Ms. Webb has spent the past for years advising health care organizations on clinical and enterprise wide strategy. She serves clients in a wide range of capacities, offering expertise in strategic planning, clinical distribution, financial feasibility analyses, non-profit governance design, and organizational design. Prior to this, Ms. Webb spent three years working for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a Policy Analyst for the Division of Global Migration and Quarantine, focusing on regulatory and global health policy pertaining to migrants and other vulnerable populations. Ms. Webb also spent five years working in special education as a high school math and science instructor for a private school in Roswell, GA. A Chicago-area native, Ms. Webb brings expertise in strategic planning, non-profit planning and development, regulatory policy, public health outreach, special education, and educational programming and has made her home in Atlanta for the past twelve years. She has previously volunteered with the Shepherd Center Junior Committee and the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Marcus Center for Autism. She is also a member of the Atlanta Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Ms. Webb earned her undergraduate degree in Biology and Political Science as well as a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Rodney Johnson is a seasoned professional with significant experience in school leadership and business operations. In his current role, he serves as Owner and Operator of Chick-Fil-A North Decatur. In this position, Mr. Johnson is responsible for the oversight of all business functions, team recruitment and development, and day to day operations. Prior to his work at Chick-Fil-A, Mr. Johnson served as the Founding School Leader for Lead Academy in Greenville, South Carolina. Mr. Johnson received his B.S. in Health and Exercise Science from Furman University and his Master of Education from Central Michigan University. He intends to serve on the Academic Committee of Ethos Classical’s Governing Board.
